RULES VIOLATION. Bondage.
Okay, let’s get serious. I’m not against tentacles; as a matter of fact I love them.
But there are two main problems with the clop based on the vines in the season 4 premiere.
- Bondage and rape. The vines are predicated on trapping ponies (in this case Celestia and Luna), and the Rule 34 coming from it seems like rape.
- Reading too much into the staff’s intentions. A lot of people (jokingly or not) are saying that the staff put in a lot of stuff that was ripe for Rule 34:
- Vines with the ability to trap ponies
- Twilight consuming a white liquid
- Pinkie Pie’s musings on frosting
- Discord in a maid outfit
